On a musical country outing!
With first class concerts held in the powerful atmosphere of historic architecture, a masterpiece of landscape that stretches to the horizon, and culinary delights to tantalize any sensibility, the Festival Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is an event that is sure to make a bon vivant out of most anyone. Since 1990 the Festival Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has filled the summer months with the music of world class soloists and conductors, renowned orchestras and choirs, and the rising stars of tomorrow with the 'Young Elite' series, a competition known for finding the freshest of international talent. With over 100 concerts during the season in 70 different locations, from castles and churches to ancient ruins and open air extravaganzas, each event promises to be a special occasion with music of the highest nouveau.
The programme is made up of 120 concerts. The 2010 festival season lasts from June 13th to September 12th.
