Time for a musical country outing!
“First class concerts, the atmospheric ambiance of historic architecture, a picturesque landscape as far as the eye can see and, to round off the cultural experience, the culinary pleasures on offer – the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has long been converting visitors into connoisseurs in the art of living”. That’s how Minister-President Harald Ringstorff describes the secret behind the success of Germany’s third-largest music festival, which offers over 100 concerts. Since 1990, over the summer months, famous soloists and conductors, renowned orchestras and choirs, the international “young elite” and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival award winners have been welcomed here, filling over 70 venues across the state, from Klützer Winkel to Usedom, with music of the very highest class.
The programme is made up of 110 concerts. The 2010 festival season lasts from June 13th to September 12th.
